After years of teaching songwriting workshops at Girls Rock Camp and Ladies Rock Camp, and helping performing artists overcome roadblocks in her recording studio, Kille decided to compile her ideas on songwriting in this book.
Since she earned her “degree” in music through the school of hard knocks, she takes a practical approach to writing and composing that doesn’t require a formal music degree to grasp. With her passion for inspiring others to embrace their creativity and her sense of humor, Kille has helped students from ages eight to eighty-two triumph over obstacles and joyfully share their gifts!
Liz Petty donated to Kille’s 2012 Dust album Kickstarter campaign and earned a songwriting lesson with Beth. This opened a floodgate of tunes pouring out of Petty. She uploaded lyrics to the February Album Writing Month website in 2013 and found collaborators all over the world who matched her lyrics with music. Petty enlisted Kille’s help to sing these tunes on this record.

“Embrace your Authentic Songwriter” transported me back to Beth’s studio, where she offers an inspiring combination of genuine care, music theory expertise, and insider knowledge of the songwriting process. Through her accessible and often laugh-out-loud funny prose, Beth honors the readers’ strengths, helps us clarify our purpose and offers just the right suggestion that we didn’t know we needed. As an experienced songwriter, Beth has helped me carve out a unique creative path for myself, and I’m thrilled that this book will allow her to inspire an even wider audience of songwriters!”
